PORTABLE EXPLOSION PROOF DRUM DUMPER
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
Controlled discharge of 35 gallon drums containing a fine powder into a 6" diameter opening just 6"above floor level. The drums were manually loaded from a pallet onto a furnished stainless steel drum cart and then rolled into the dumper. The portable unit was equipped with an air over hydraulic system with pneumatic controls, valves and limit switches for use in a hazardous environment.
CUSTOM FEATURES:
All contact surfaces were constructed using 304 stainless steel, including the off-set, tapered pour cone. The pour cone included a mounted 6" FMC Iris valve for material flow control. The dumper featured an extremely low profile allowing it to be used in rooms with a ceiling height of less than 6' making it ideal for tight plant locations.
The hydraulic system included the exclusive MTS Lift & Seal System™ to ensure dust sealing of the drums to the fixed pour cone. The hydraulic fluid and grease are both FDA/USDA approved for incidental food contact. Stainless steel hydraulic lines and a NEMA 4X stainless steel Hoffman control enclosure were just a few of the features.
