HAZARDOUS LOCATION PORTABLE DRUM DUMPER
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
Provide dust-tight, controlled discharge of various chemicals into a 39" high receiving vessel.
CUSTOM FEATURES:
Drum dumper included a custom eccentric 304 stainless steel pour cone designed to handle both 30 and 55 gallon drums. A 304 stainless steel adaptor was provided to allow dust-tight discharge of a 20 gallon drum. Pour cone included a fully mounted 8" FMC iris valve.
The unit was designed for a 45° discharge angle, with a 135° rotation. An air motor powered hydraulic system with pneumatically actuated controls offered intrinsically safe and water-tight operation.
Spring return selector switch controls delivered "dead-man" type control, allowing the unit to be jogged or stopped at any position during the rotational cycle. Controls were mounted in a NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure.
Our exclusive MTS Lift & Seal System™ provided push-button, dust-tight sealing of drums to the fixed pour cone. A washdown frame design with capped, angled tubes and continuous welds offered easy cleaning. The frame was painted with Steel-It brand 316L stainless steel pigmented industrial epoxy. The unit featured a custom design which was portable by both forklift channel and 8" polyurethane casters with locking floor pads.
