CHILLED SHOT DISCHARGE SYSTEM

Designed to provide controlled discharge of chilled steel shot. System was designed to dump 1,000# drums into three custom surge bins. Each bin had custom bifurcated discharge transitions to mate with a pneumatic conveying system.
FEATURES:
Each of the three drum dumpers had a 1,500# capacity, 45° discharge angle, 304-2b stainless steel pour cones with exclusive Lift & Seal System™ and Keystone butterfly valves.
The custom designed 30 cubic foot stainless steel surge hoppers included high and low level probes. Each surge bin was mounted on a custom loss-in-weight scale system. Each surge bin had custom covers and discharge transitions to mate to pneumatic conveying system.
Completely custom NEMA 12 electrical control system featured "automatic" and "manual" modes, with customer specified electrical components. The automatic mode was controlled with an expandable Modicon PLC which allowed each unit to travel through the entire "up" cycle of the equipment, stopping at the full discharge position. The system included a custom safety enclosure with fully interlocked security doors. Safety system included floor safety mats fully interconnected to control panel to prevent unit operation with someone present inside the enclosure.
