LIFT & DUMP DRUM DUMPER WITH ROTARY VALVE
APPLICATION / PRODUCT: Designed to discharge and feed 55 gallon drums of various metal powders into an existing receiving vessel. Dust-tight system featured an 86" discharge height with a 60° discharge angle.
CUSTOM FEATURES: Unit featured heavy structural channel main frame construction and a custom 304 stainless steel pour cone with a 2b finish. The discharge of the pour cone was equipped with a fully mounted 8" Rotolok rotary airlock valve. A Vibco pneumatic turbine vibrator was included to aid in cone clean out.
Our exclusive MTS Lift & Seal System provided dust-tight sealing of drums to the fixed pour cone to prevent dusting.
The unit power pack featured a Baldor TEFC motor driving a completely self-contained hydraulic system. Dumper utilized multiple double acting hydraulic cylinders with chrome plated rams for sealing, lifting, and rotation. Unit featured our exclusive guided trunnion, Igus brand E-chain, and rigid steel hydraulic lines.
Unit included NEMA 12 electricals with auto/manual mode controls. In manual mode, controls were "dead-man" type, requiring the operator to push and hold buttons for operation. In "auto" mode, terminal strips were supplied to allow integration of a customer supplied PLC. Auto mode controls enabled the user to load the drum, depress and release a "raise cycle" button, the unit would seal the drum to the pour cone, lift and rotate drum to the full discharge position, and activate the valve to feed the material. A single push of the "lower cycle" button would close the valve and bring the drum back to the unloading position.
