LIFT & DUMP DUAL DRUM FEEDER
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
Feed and screen 55 gallon drums of Porous Alumina into an existing charge tank at a rate of 370# per minute. Dust-tight system featured dual drum capability, adjustable feed rates, a 2,000# lifting capacity, and a 130" discharge height.
CUSTOM FEATURES:
Drum dumper included dual 316L stainless steel pour cones with a 2b finish. Pour cones each included a 6" pneumatically actuated Salina Orifice gate, 316L stainless steel on contact.
Pour cones discharged through a custom 316 stainless steel transition and flexible connection into an Eriez vibratory feeder/ screener. Feeder was custom mounted to the dumper frame.
Dumper was designed for 135° rotation, with a 45° angle of discharge.
Our exclusive MTS Lift & Seal System™ provided dust-tight sealing of drums to the fixed pour cones, and prevented dust from escaping into the plant air.
The completely self-contained power pack featured a Baldor Mill/Chemical duty motor, and rigid stainless steel lines. The Hoffman NEMA 4X control station featured PLC controls, auto and manual modes, system status indicator lights, and a lockable disconnect. The dumper was equipped with full four sided safety caging. The swing open access doors were interlocked to prevent unit operation unless doors were in the closed and secured position.
