LIFT & DUMP DRUM DUMPER WITH 45° DISCHARGE
APPLICATION / PRODUCT: Unit was engineered to provide dust-tight discharge of free-flowing powders into a receiving vessel at a height of 119". Unit featured a 30" discharge projection and a 1,200# lifting capacity. Unit included a gravity roller skip for easy loading of drums.
CUSTOM FEATURES: Drum dumper included a custom 304 stainless steel pour cone electropolished to a brilliant finish. Pour cone included a fully mounted 6" pneumatically actuated Keystone butterfly valve with stainless steel on contact. Dumper was designed for a 135° rotation, with a 45° angle of discharge.
The MTS Lift & Seal System provided dust-tight sealing of drums to the fixed pour cone. The unit featured a fully self-contained, continuous duty hydraulic power pack with a Premium Efficiency Baldor TEFC motor. Construction features included our exclusive guided trunnion, Igus brand E-chain, rigid stainless steel hydraulic lines, four bolt flange bearings, and a heavy-duty structural channel frame with a two part industrial epoxy coating. Unit featured both "AUTOMATIC" and "MANUAL" modes of operation with status indicator lights. In manual mode, controls were "dead-man" type, requiring the operator to push and hold buttons for operation. In "AUTO" mode, PLC controls enabled the user to load the drum, depress and release a "RAISE CYCLE" button, the unit would seal drum to the pour cone, lift and rotate drum, seal the discharge nozzle against the receiving vessel, and open the valve to discharge the material. A single push of the "LOWER CYCLE" button would close the valve and bring the drum back to the "unloading position. The control enclosure included an Allen-Bradley fused lockable disconnect.
