DRUM DUMPER FOR LOW CEILING HEIGHT APPLICATIONS
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
This portable unit was designed to discharge 20-23" diameter x 20-36" high drums of PTFE powder into a receiving hopper.
CUSTOM FEATURES:
The dumper included a custom eccentric 304-2b stainless steel pour cone to handle the above drum diameters without the use of adaptors. The pour cone included a fully mounted 8" iris valve for material flow control.
A bolt on spool piece was provided with the equipment. The top of this spool piece accepted the discharge from the drum dumper, while the bottom connected to the receiving hopper mounted beneath the mezzanine deck.
The unit was designed for a 60° discharge angle, with a 750# lifting capacity. Our Lift & Seal System™ provided reliable, dust-tight sealing of drums to the fixed pour cone with the push of a button. Unit included a self-contained 2 G.P.M. power pack with a 2 HP TEFC motor. Electrical components were NEMA 12 rated, with "dead-man" type push button controls for safety. The unit was painted MTS Safety Blue with a two part industrial epoxy.
The unit featured a custom side cylinder design for smooth rotation of the pivot carriage under a restricted ceiling height. The portable design with four 8" casters and locking floor pads allowed easy movement and stable operation. The loading skip was designed with stainless steel loading forks for easy roll in drum loading.
