CONTAINER DUMPER & FLEXIBLE SCREW CONVEYOR
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
Designed to discharge 2,000 lb. containers of dry ice and then to convey the ice to a 90" high feeder system.
CUSTOM FEATURES:
System had complete sanitary design features including capped and angled tubular construction, wash down duty stainless steel motors, continuous welds ground smooth, no pockets, standoffs and hydraulic fluid and grease USDA approved for incidental food contact.
The entire dumper was constructed of 304 stainless steel. The dumper was designed for 135° rotation, with a 45° angle of discharge and included a manual stainless steel slide gate.
The system included NEMA 4X electrical design with a Hoffman stainless steel push button operator control station. Other features included a custom 304 stainless steel wash down enclosure for the conveyor motor and gear box as well as stainless steel Survivor bearings and stainless steel hydraulic lines. The flexible screw conveyor was custom designed to handle the dry ice and had one continuous length of stainless steel auger with a UHMW casing. Casing was secured with stainless steel quick release couplers. Inlet hopper cover was reinforced to support the hydraulic sealing pressure of the dumper.
