LIFT & DUMP CONTAINER DUMPER
APPLICATION / PRODUCT:
Discharge 2,000# gaylord containers of non-free flowing powdered plastic resin into a live bottom glass hopper. Material was discharged in a dust-tight fashion at a height of 9'.
CUSTOM FEATURES :
Box dumper included a custom mild carbon steel pour hood with a 12" Salina Vortex roller slide gate. Pour hood was also equipped with a vibrator to ensure hood clean out. Dumper was designed for a 60° angle of discharge, with a 150° rotation.
The hydraulic system included the exclusive MTS Lift & Seal System™ to ensure dust sealing of the totes to the fixed pour hood. This feature prevents foreign matter from falling inside the tote, causing contamination of the product.
The unit was also equipped with numerous safety features. Safety guarding was provided on three sides of the unit with a safety interlock on the loading side door. The safety interlocked loading door prevented operation of the dumper unless the door was secured in the closed position. NEMA 12 dust-tight electrical controls were located in a remote mount pedestal for convenient, safe operation.
The unit was powered by a TEFC Baldor high efficiency motor. The frame featured heavy duty construction with continuous welds, and was painted with a white two part industrial epoxy.
