WASHDOWN DUTY LIFT & SEAL CONTAINER DUMPER
APPLICATION / PRODUCT: Unit was engineered to discharge octagonal containers of a food grade powder into a receiving pipe. Unit was designed for a 48" discharge height, 45° discharge angle, and a 25" discharge projection.
CUSTOM FEATURES: Unit featured a custom 304 stainless steel pour hood with a 2b finish, and continuous welds. Pour hood included a fully mounted 10" Posi-flate butterfly valve with a polished stainless steel disc. Our MTS Lift & Seal System provided a dust-tight seal between the container and the fixed pour hood. The dumper frame was designed for use in a washdown environment and was constructed from carbon steel structural tube, with ends capped and continuous welds. The dumper frame was sandblasted, then custom painted with USDA approved Steel-It brand 316L stainless steel pigmented epoxy. The unit utilized rigid stainless steel hydraulic lines, rigid conduit, a stainless steel pivot shaft, washdown duty flange bearings, and food grade hydraulic fluid and grease.
The power pack consisted of a Baldor washdown duty motor with a self-contained hydraulic system. The hydraulic system was housed in an enclosure with a removable access panel. Electrical components were NEMA 4 rated, and installed in a Hoffman NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure.
