Drum & Container Fillers

Designed for a pharmaceutical excipients company, this sanitary-design drum filler required full-washdown duty capability. The frame is constructed of stainless steel, includes no flat surfaces to prevent standing material or water after washdown, and has welded stand-offs to prevent any tube penetration. All product contact surfaces are stainless steel, unit is pneumatic to eliminate the presence of electrical components, and the unit is a ‘low headroom’ design to fit in the customer’s facility.

For use in a food processing environment, this drum filler is constructed of stainless steel and includes a pneumatically actuated fill head. Using a gain-in-weight scale system, the customer is able to fill approximately 16 drums per hour, increasing their efficiency and automating their process.

This battery manufacturer required a drum discharger & small container filler combo unit to transfer material from a drum into a variety of sizes of small containers for distribution. Handling a material similar to carbon black required dust-tight seals and dust ventilation at both ends of the process. To accomplish this, the initial drum is sealed to the pour hood using pneumatic pressure switches, and the containers on the receiving end use a spout inflation seal to eliminate any gaps between the fill head and the container rim.
